So, I was in one of my favorite antique stores in Ridgefield, The Silver Lining, and found some great vintage mother-of-pearl buttons... and of course I can't pass some things up. Of course, then I had to come up with something to justify my purchase....

And I'm not the only one who thinks they are cute - I just sold the one I was wearing right off my neck at the grocery store! Too fun!

Well, it's here! My absolutley favorite time of the year!!! Kids have started back to school (happy dance) and the weather is getting cooler... we wore jeans today! Sorry for all my family and friends back home in TX... but I LOVE IT!!!

So with that being said.. time to kick it into gear... it almost Christmas Card Season!

On a solmn note - my hearts and prayer go out to anyone and everyone who lost a loved one on 9/11/01... God Bless America!

First Monday in Canton, TX

While home for a baby shower, family reunion, and college get-together... I made sure to hit First Monday in Canton, TX. The world's largest outdoor trade days takes place Thursday through Sunday before the first Monday of every month in Canton, Texas. On First Monday weekend, this peaceful, friendly East Texas town turns into a shopper's paradise where vendors from across the country sell and trade antiques and collectibles, furniture, home decorative accessories, arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, tools, produce, and much more.

So off we went, my mom and 2 sister-in-laws, looking for treasures... It was HOT - TEXAS HOT... but with some ice cold lemonade and cash in hand, we found some great things. I was looking for some more vintage linens, and found some great things from Katherine's Kollections.. as you can see I put my "pickers" to work!!!

Meet another great gal, Amber McGilvray, who had started her own line of children's bedding.. very cute!! Love Bug

And Shelly Boles, Rockin' Vintage, was right up my alley!! Check out her glamorous guitars.

All in all, I had a great trip.. and if you are ever in East Texas the first week of the month... you HAVE to go to Canton!
